Thank you for your interest in attending the Pease Park Lives Remembered Tour. The site of today's Pease District Park was part of the 365-acre Woodlawn homestead owned by former Texas Governor E. M. Pease and his wife, Lucadia. Although Governor Pease supported the Union during the Civil War, research has found that at least 37 individuals were directly enslaved or leased as enslaved labor by the Pease family. This tour recognizes and shares some of the stories of a few of these people.

This tour will include about 1.5 miles of walking and learning about this history from our tour guide, Julia. If you have concerns about this walk, please contact us at info@peasepark.org for assistance.

The demographic questions at the bottom of the form are not required, but they help us to know who is attending our events and visiting the park. This helps us to understand if we are accomplishing our goal of creating programs that are welcoming to all.
